The Effects of (a) Protest

Democracy, as it’s grown “into”, is a very interesting entity. Its parts lend to its strengths, as well as its weaknesses. When those that interfere with the day-to-day processes do so to the point of “the NEEDS of the MANY” are outweighed “by the needs of the FEW” there have been times when it’s TOO LATE to sit down and discuss/ in DISGUST over TEA.
As we sit here, in this moment, there are so many that have found that WHAT they collectively WANT is worth dismantling dreams that others insisted were their own.
What if the athletes of this nation’s major sports decided to make THEIR statements about IMMIGRATION and RACE by refusing to play in the STATES and Cities that socio-institutionally hindered those of the “players'” nation “of” ? Be it BIRTH, ANCSESTRY, MARRAIGE or the like? In this time of what makes our neighborhoods [VIABLE]* and, how these STATES and Cities create an economy for “the [MASSES] it’s time for Corporate C.E.O.s and their political fodder to think about the “what if” of what happens when a [NELSON CRUZ] is aware that a few family members have been hassled so much by their employer’s overzealous immigration policies that HE has talked to enough players that sitting out a season won’t hurt him as much as his PENNANT driven team owner? Multiply that by the carelessnesses of the incoming [GENERATION] of players and you see that those with an “[INVESTMENT] “might” find a way to get some changes that are just as Nationally [LUCRETIVE] as a [WERNHER von BRAUN]. You may think that this analogy is absurd but, Baseball has been with us since the just after the [\"CIVIL\" WAR]. Whereas the U.S. Manned Space program is from 1962.
If this idea seems far-fetched to you, go to Syria, Egypt, Yemen and such… Ask that young Man, or [WOMAN] what the strength of PEOPLE can/ WILL do. Then think of how the few stars from [AFRICA], or [CHINA] might be EFFECTUAL.

It’s gone DOWN, to the proverbial wire and those that “we” sent to the shoreline of the Potomac to represent our thoughts and desires have lost their collective minds. The “Hurl Grey” group/ grope has seen fit to, tenaciously, hold TO their ‘beliefs’ not caring that when TEA remains submerged in water it eventually CANNOT KEEP its “USE BY” label at a USEABLE level. Especially when said water is ABOIL. And, WILL SINK everything that is attached that doesn’t have the adequate displacement abilities.
But, those that sought, then encouraged, the bailing of frustrations into the already “past-due-dated” regime of the “PACHYDERM PRIDE”, (GOP), has bundled America into an ensuing DISASTER. And, of course, I WILL NOT forget the “BURRO BRIGADE” for THEIR nefarious penchant for “exposing” themselves, (And US!), to that which should wait.
In all this the [\"FORKED\" ESTATE] has been twisting our “knowledge” for the [Brawnier] “PAC-ERS” of this nation.

Citizens Punished For The Pusuit of HAPPINESS

If you’ve never been to [TREEHUGGER.COM] you have missed one of the definitive news agencies pertaining to our environment.
To bring a bit of what is happening to communities, via their local governments, the example of how trite the elected are becoming is shown by the fact that the city if Oak Park, Michigan is spending TAXPAYER time and MONIES on prosecuting a family for improvising to stretch their food bill, provide BETTER NUTRITION and give their neighbors a different view of plant types in the community.
I only write this as one trying to help the family, TREEHUGGER, and the rest of US by the chance that you’ll be caught on guard and DO SOMETHING for this family and yourselves. Because it IS all about THE PEOPLE.

Higher Education

Have any one of us actually thought about the percentage of how many of our sports “heroes” move on to become participants in an ADULT JOB after playing a game for part of their lives ? [THE FEW] that do so are from some time ago, (as far as athletes turned DOCTORS.). The more recent of my memory are Roger Staubach and Willie Davis, Mr. Davis is a beer, tv, and radio [\'MAGNATE\'], besides being a FULL FLEDGED MEMBER of the National Football Hall of Fame. He came from a small school called GRAMBLING, via a coach named [EDDIE ROBINSON].
My, how the theory of SPORT training our youth in LIFE’S LESSONS is getting sullied, (more and more !), with each [ ENSUING] year.
It’s interesting that for all the movies that have been made about how the entertainment of the “masses”, through the [ GREEKS]. AND, [ROMANS] have shown us how these events lured a citizenry away from keeping a nation focused on [REMAINING] so. If we study the parallels of the declines of these two historically epic civilizations and their ABUSE of the SUBSTANCES Blood, Death and Mutilation we can bring that same focus upon Today’s increasingly gluttonous appetites for Sports, and the ravenous obsessions of entitlements exibited by the “elite” of their participants.
If corporations are to make such OUTSTANDING quarterly PROFITS from the

BLOOD

SWEAT

and TEARS

of these young fertilizers of profit is there any wonder that these “plug-n-play” units want to have something for the effort NOW !?! Isn’t this what those that have determined WHAT their Corporate Contributions TO these places of HIGHER EDUCATION have mandated for what they WANT in return ?
Isn’t THIS what they’re getting?

Manny Pacquiao= FIFTY-EIGHT and “WHOA” !

The ‘blog’, “Omegetymon” was a first attempt at “pecking” a thought through the “net”, and I’ve been lax at filling the time line lately. Most posts have been rants about what the inhabitants that are supposed to be the “intelligent” of the creatures have been doing to their kindred. Today I’ll switch to just plain observance and report.
On Saturday May 7, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manny_Pacquiao), taught Shane Mosley, ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shane_Mosley), as well as any observantAmerican, what the TOUGHNESS of growing up in the rest of the world brings to the table of enjoying the fruits picked from a hard-scrabble field that was your homeland. When most of “us”, here, say that we grew up “HARD” it is true… but there ARE places where it’s HARDER.
The other thought of this post is the fact that Mr. Pacquiao is also a FILIPINO CONGRESSMAN to his homeland. To quote a phrase from Rod Serling, ” IMAGINE, if YOU WILL”… “And in the RED corner, wearing the Purple trunks with Yellow trim… (Put, almost, ANY name on the announcer’s cue card.) But, back to the prime-time PUGILISTIC post.

The intensity of the experts’ comparisons of the two went for many months because of the “gamesmanship” that Mr. Mosley’s handlers exhibited in their “accusations” that there “MAY” be ‘performance enhancing’ materials in Mr. Pacquiao’s system, (http://www.examiner.com/fight-sports-in-jackson/should-mosley-and-
pacquiao-both-be-subjected-to-random-blood-testing), even though Mosley HAD tested positive earlier HIMSELF. Never-the-LESS, the two finally met and the man that wears a SUIT for/at his REAL JOB convinced the Californian to “take a SEAT” TWICE during the TWELVE ROUND “war” between the WORLD WELTER-WEIGHT division’s most devastating punchers.
As I wind this up I do have to say that the visions of a “ROCKY”-like ending may have been on the minds of a lot of the event’s attendees, ( With Mosley being the “ALL- AMERICAN” BOUY, and Pacquiao representing the “FOREIGN” element.) But, with youth, (and a record of 53-3-2), the numbers were clearly Welter- WEIGHTED on the scaled side of the EIGHT INDIVIDUAL Division WORLD Champion against a MAN who had a “couple” more rounds,(46-7-1-1), of time, (September 7, 1971 vs December 17, 1978), under his CHAMPIONSHIP Belts. Which proves the adage that…

Who STIRS a Mind’s Water ?

We’ve been told that “still waters run deep”, (“Still waters run deep.”

Some rivers have rough surfaces with waves. That’s usually because the water is shallow and there are rocks near the surface. But deep rivers have no rocks near the surface and the water is smooth and still. “Still waters run deep” means that people who are calm and tranquil on the outside, often have a strong, “deep” personality.), just how “deep” one is depends on how far you need to go beneath their surface… or, let THEM to the layers of YOUR SELF.

The proverb is all too true, but how does that become so ? We’ve been subjected to the ‘sciences’ that deal with how the forces of growth and change effect / affect how and why rivers turn into lakes or oceans. How and why mountains became through the exchange of Magma recirculating back to the EPIDERMIS of the Earth. Or the plates that separate the crust from the magma push said crust as a vee on its ears.

People are no different. Those of “us” that have a frantic nature just may be going through an inner shift with the “plates” of our mind and heart. Just how and when the turmoil ends, coupled to just how much / many damage(s) have changed that around us is similar to to an earthquake, flood, volcano, or forest fire. A shift, a cleansing, a regional rebirth, a “haircut”. ( In ancient times FIRE was used to “trim” the hair. It’s STILL in practice. Hair is self extiguishing.) The world is ”putting up” with the drug dealers we know as INDUSTRY : oil and every offshoot that IS the Kudzu of this world. They say that Cream rises to the surface, so does OIL.

Yes, still waters DO run deep. But, what were the transforming causes ? And, what lays at the bottom surface unseen ? What is the Marianas of these folk ?

I don’t have THE answer, but I’ve been getting acquainted with someone that is working with me on my turmoils so that I may achieve a “placid” demeanor. The SCOTTSBORO “Boys”…

…How the lyrical restructuring of an “old” MENTALITY has risen from the d(r)ead to provide the view of the country’s “future”.

It’s a story that happened [79 YEARS AGO], but is being brought to the “Great White Way” doing what has been outlawed since Jesse Helms was young. The men who gave us CABARET and CHICAGO have ‘scored’ a piece of history that is so completely ON TIME with its opening during the current “tenure” of the [WHITE HOUSE]. The elections are upon us and most of American voters are so enamored with the soft and sensuous “natural” [APPLICATOR] of the lanolin they ‘believe’ stops their (w)age lines that some are asking to pay in triplicate.

The story,in short, is how fear and prejudice almost cost some non-white male youth their lives due to the falsehoods concocted to cover the fact that another non-black group of youth lost their position after a confrontation while they were [HOBOING] through the south.

When you read the cast of accusers could YOU reinsert [SARAH PALIN] or [SHARRON ANGLE] “a bit” ? And, don’t forget the man who gets to take Nancy Palosi’s “seat”, will have just such a starring role as America goes through a trial of [“TRUMPINGS“] to protect the perpetrators.( As they “Rush” us through dangerous [\”GLEN(N)S\”]/ The fact that the young men had to be defended by the International Labor Defence, instead of the NAACP, ([WHAT, AGAIN ?]), only proves that History REPEATS itself more often that we will recognize.

As a former Stagehand the “SCOTTSBORO BOYS” is intriguing, in that the cast does a lot of what we get paid to do. Since I won’t be seeing it from a wing my prayer is that I, and so many others, can find the funds to witness this event , and see what my predecessors warned me OF. If you’ve read both articles this new musical should prove to be an HONEST WORK OF THEATRICAL/ MUSICAL / HISTORICAL ART.

Rules ARE Rules !

During the last century growing up within the continental “outlines” that which was /IS America, we understood that there were different sets of [RULES] for “WHO” participated in the “MORE IMPORTANT” [EVENTS] that generated exorbitant amounts of MONETARY, REGIONAL and “ETHNIC pride”. After [the RECONSTRUCTION] those “Of Colour” became Congressmen through the REPUBLICAN PARTY. But, only for a miniscule time… *[RULE CHANGES]

Moving “forward”, as in the almost century since Mr. De Priest, the [STANDARD] of HOW the “GAME” IS PLAYED hasn’t actually “changed”, BUT, the “referees”, ( STRIPED, or ” BLEACHERED”.), are more, now, apt to [DISCERN] toward “[THEIR OWN]”. ‘They’re” not “happy” with how the neighborhood’s prospective “RHODES SCHOLAR ” lost his [DEBATE] to ‘Rastusimus Jones’, even though the two CAN quote the [SCHRODINGER EQUATION].

The “plights” of [MAXINE WATERS] AND [CHARLES RANGEL] are proving the lesson that was given to young ‘Negro’ children that were being thrust into the “WORLD-OF-THE-WHITE-MAN”, during the twentieth century… “You have to be TWICE as smart, Twice as strong, TWICE as observant and THREE TIMES MORE silent”…” YOU DON’T want “him” to know that you’re as “good” as he “is”. “They make the RULES, YOU just can’t let on that YOU KNOW THEM”!
